February 13- Salisbury District Council Goes Mobile with Verrus

Salisbury is the latest council to adopt the Verrus mobile phone payment system. Launched on February 1st 2006, the council has introduced phone payment across all their car parks and to provide their customers with a highly convenient payment option. More

January 31- Aloha to Verrus Pay by Cell Phone Parking in Hawaii

November 23 - City of York (UK) introduces Pay by Phone Parking

Verrus Mobile Phone Payment system is available at all City of York off street car parks, comprising over 3,000 spaces. This is the first city wide stand alone mobile phone payment system to be implemented in England.

November 2 - Verrus Powers New Text Message (SMS) News  Alert Service  for MTS and Global TV

MTS customers can opt in by text message to short code NEWS(6397) to receive news previews from Global TV delivered to their phone. This new service runs on the Verrus Mobile Payments and Messaging Platform and allows organizations anywhere to manage customer lists and send updates by text message.

October 3  - University of Miami at Coral Gables Adopts Verrus Pay by Cell Phone for On-Campus Parking

University of Miami includes a pay by cell phone option for parking at Coral Gables campus.  Using the Verrus Mobile Payments and Messaging Platform, the U of M System automatically updates parking meters with new payment information

September 5  - Pay by SMS(Text)  for Parking in Winnipeg

Winnipeg is the first city in North America to accept payments by text message at select parking lots. Pay by Text is a new extension of the Verrus Mobile Payments and Messaging Platform for communicating and transacting by SMS.

June 10 - Goes to Hollywood

City of West Hollywood launches trial of pay by phone on Sunset Boulevard.  Integrated with Digital Payment Technology paystations.

May 27 - Pay by Phone UK Launch

Cardiff and Southampton are first cities in the UK to benefit from Verrus pay by phone service at APCOA managed car parks.

April 8 - City of Richmond Sign On

Residents and visitors will be able to pay for on street parking by cell phone in Richmond, BC.  The City also adopts meter out of order service.

March 11 - Appoints VP Sales

February 15 - Digital Parking Permits Launch

Verrus announces the availability of digital parking permits. No need for hang tags or paper permits. Has replaced 15,000 hang tags at local college.

January 26 – Major Pay by Phone Service Roll Out

Verrus pay by phone service deployed in Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg.  Pay for parking by cell phone from the warmth of your car at Imperial Parking locations.

November 5 -  City of White Rock deploys Pay by Phone

First deployment in North America of pay by cell phone for on street parking.  Service allows visitors to pay or extend parking by cell phone in conjunction with paystations

October 8 -  Cell Phone SMS Entertainment for Fans at MTS Center

 Verrus launches new service to allow fans to vote, answer trivia and play contests in real time as game is in progress at the new MTS Center. 

September 3 – University of British Columbia Deploys Meter Management System

All parking meters and pay stations at UBC are monitored 24/7 by Verrus automated management system that minimizes downtime for out of service meters

May 4  – Verrus Wins WINBC Wireless Innovation Award

Verrus Pay by Cell Phone service has won the 2004 Canadian wireless innovation award for the best collaborative project. Recognized at ASI Exchange Show.
